Verizon

On July 7th, Verizon will replace its $30 a month unlimited data plan with a tiered plan, just like AT&T.

An advance look at a Verizon brochure, showing that smartphone plans will:

  • Start at $30 a month for 2 gigs of data.

  • You'll pay $50 for 5 gigs.

  • Heavy users will pay $80 for 10 gigs.

In addition, Verizon's plan will cost $5 more than AT&T's, for the same amount of data

Verizon customers will still have unlimited data until their current 2-year contract is up. At that point, you will have to take the new plan
