Google's Free 411 is ending BING steps in.

Google has just announced it is ending 800-GOOG-411 on November 12th, 2010, because it wants people to use its smart phone application instead.

The newet free service: 1-800-Bing-411.

Just dial 1-800-B-I-N-G-411, and you can find local businesses, and even get traffic reports, movie showtimes, and weather.

Bing, is Microsoft's upstart search engine, and Microsoft's betting that it can switch over some Google users to bing's search engine as a result of this.

Kings Island

The first 5,000 guests through the front gate turnstiles Sunday, October 24 will receive a free Charlie Brown bobblehead, courtesy of Cincinnati Bell. This high-quality bobblehead is cold-cast ceramic, hand-painted and features Charlie Brown in a Kings Island hat and Planet Snoopy baseball jersey. The front gates will open at 11:30am on October 24. Park hours are from noon until 8:00pm.

Toys 'r' Us

will offer customers up to $100 for each old iPod that they bring into stores.

Customers can bring in up to three of their previously used but still working iPods to a Toys "R" Us service desk, and the store will make an offer for each music player, depending on the age and model.

The trade-in program is only available for one week, starting Sunday, Oct. 17 and running through Saturday, Oct. 23.

Customers receive an iPod "trade-up" card loaded with the total dollar amount of their trade-ins, and the card can be used to buy a new device.

The program won't be available in all Toys "R" Us stores, so shoppers should check with their local outlets

Texting and driving fines start today

A ban on texting while driving goes into effect Today in Cincinnati.

Police will begin enforcing the law, which prohibits sending or receiving text messages by cell phones or other devices while driving.

Motorists may not access the Internet while driving, but dialing a phone will not be considered a violation of the law

Drivers could be fined $100 for the offense.
